Bevins Elementary School-Simply the Best

School Mission

Teamwork and a commitment to excellence will empower Bevins Elementary School to becomesimply the best.

Message from the Principal, Faculty, & Staff

Welcome to Bevins Elementary School. It is our desire to provide you with the information that you need to make this a rewarding year for both you and your child. Providing our students a quality education in a safe, secure environment is our main goal. The policies and procedures within this handbook were written to help us reach this goal. Please review them with your child. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns, and we will discuss them with you. We believe that communication between school and home is essential.

We are proud of our academic program and strongly feel that it is designed to meet the learning needs of elementary school students. Our participation in the Reading First initiative provides for instruction to help our primary students develop a strong foundation in reading. Bevins Elementary students have consistently performed well on the state assessment, which indicates that all of our teachers are focused on helping students meet state standards.

We work hard to create a supportive atmosphere for our students. We believe that parents and community members are valuable partners in the education of our students. Therefore, we encourage those of you who are interested to participate in our school volunteer program. All volunteers must receive training and submit to a criminal background check. If you are interested in volunteering at our school, please contact the Family Resource Center.

As a member of our school community, please join us in our endeavors to reach our vision, Bevins Elementary School-Simply the Best! We sincerely hope that this will be an enjoyable year for both you and your children.
